Zamindar Football Club (circa 1960s) - Established some time in the early 1900s, Zamindar Football Club from Garhi Shahu produced some of the best local football players. The club even went to play in India and Sri Lanka on a number of occasions. A number of Sikh football players from India used to come to play in the club as well. This photo is from some time in the 1960s when my grandfather was one of the managers of the team. He, himself, had played in the team as well in the 1950s. The club is no longer there however, football is still in the hearts of people of Garhi Shahu along with cricket ofcourse.
